Roger Lewin est un anthropologue et écrivain scientifique britannique.
Diplômé en biochimie à l'Université de Liverpool, il a été pendant neuf ans éditeur au magazine "New Scientist" à Londres, puis à "New Scientist" à Washington, pendant dix ans.
En 1989, il obtient le Royal Society Science Books Prize pour son ouvrage "Bones of Contention: Controversies in the Search for Human Origins" (1987).
