Résumé :
"There is a mystical quality to Bill Watterson's work. What we have here is no mere comic strip.... Watterson the alchemist has conjured forth a work of subtletly, character, and depth far out of proportion to his tender years. This book is magic."

- Pat Oliphant, from the Foreword

Calvin: Mom says death is as natural as birth, and it's all part of the life cycle.
She says we don't really understand it, but there are many things we don't understand, and we just have to do the best we can with the knowledge we have.
I guess that makes sense.
...but don't YOU go anywhere.
Hobbes: Don't worry.

Hobbes: Look, I brought a sombrero!
Now we can both be "cool"!
Calvin: A SOMBRERO? Are you crazy?! Cool people don't wear sombreros! NOBODY wears sombreros!
Hobbes: What fun is it being "cool" if you can't wear a sombrero?

Calvin: This is where dad burried the little raccoon.
I don't even know he existed a few days ago and now he's gone forever. It's like I found him for no reason. I had to say good-bye as soon as I said hello.
Still...in a sad, awful, terrible way, I'm happy I met him.
* sniff *
What a stupid world.
