Bubby never asks how I'm doing in school. She doesn't concern herself with my activities. It's almost as if she doesn't really want to get to know me for who I truly am.
She's like that with everyone.
I think it's because her whole family was murdered in the concentration camps, and she no longer has the energy to connect emotionally with people.
