Assis là désormais, écoutant le vrombissement étrangement agité provenant de l’unité centrale que Jon avait construite de bric et de broc, Richard se remémora comment il s’était effondré sur le trottoir, pleurant et incapable de croire que son frère avait fait une chose pareille.
-Braille bébé, braille bébé, regardez le bébé brailler, avait persiflé Roger. Ce n’était de toute façon rien d’autre qu’un jouet merdique bon marché, Richie, Regarde-le là, rien qu’un tas de petits signes et beaucoup d’eau.

"You tell and I’ll breack your am," Roger said, and in his chilling grin Richard had seen he meant it. He had not told.
