She tied her shoes, then moved as soundlessly as she was able to the door and pulled it open just a teeny crack. Enough to let her slip out.
No one was there.
You'd think there'd be security. Then she heard voices and opened the door a tad bit wider. Ah. There was a security guard in the hall. And he was flirting with the cute nurse at the desk. If she was't sneaking out, it would no doubt annoy her that the guard wasn't more vigilant. As it worked in her favor, though, she decided to take advantage.
