My album is so autobiographical that there shouldn't be any more questions to answer. It's the story of a white kid who grew up in a black neighborhood who had a pretty shity life... not the worst life in the world, but still a fairly shity life.

People ask me, "What would you say to someone that wanted to grow up to be like you ?" And I would say not to do it. Don't grow up to be me. But, at the same time, is it really a bad thing to grow up to be like me, to come from the gutter and become a rap star ?

The government organization was interested in one lyric in particular, where Marshall raps : "Fuck money/I don't rap for dead presidents/I'd rather see the president dead". Agents wanted to discover wether it threatened the then-president George Bush's life. However, the investigation went nowhere and the finished article, eventually titled "We as americans" ended up as a bonus track on Eminem's 2004 album Encore.
