The garden is the nursery of rich Cousins, and the wild children of the fields are not at ease in their company. They are gipsies, tented in a field corner, or huddled in a windy fastness of the hills. They would feel alarm in the rich bareness of a garden bed, and feeling alarm, would probably steal forth on a little strangling foray of their own !
