By the author known for his Dune saga, this is also a science-fiction story but dangerously close to a future that could happen, even if this book is fifty years old. Humans are trying to eradicate all other forms of life, mainly insects, to increase the inhabitable zones. China has already succeeded in doing this, but South America is struggling to achieve its goal. An organism, the Green brain, has emerged to counter human domination and controls insects capable of mimicking other creatures. But what if eradicating all insects doesn't entirely lead to the desired outcome ?
