"The Cutting Room: Dark Reflections of the Silver Screen," is a collection of short stories of either the dark fantasy or outright horror variety; all but one, are reprints of stories that were published anywhere between 1982 and 2012.
The credits have rolled, but the lights are still off. Something is lurking on the other side of the screen. There are dark secrets, starving monsters, and haunted survivors who refuse to be left on the cutting room floor. But that's okay, right? After all, everybody loves the movies....
Datlow is one of the best editors, and even though her tastes are darker than mine for the most part, she always provides an interesting line-up of well-written, thought-provoking stories in her anthologies; on that basis, and on the strength of the Newman tale, recommended!

De nombreuses courtes nouvelles poétiques, âpres, se déroulant dans l'Angleterre post-industrielle. La dimension sociale des récits enrichit la puissance de ces suicides magnifiques qui vous hantent longtemps après la lecture

Dans ces pages, Dracula visite des lieux comme la Côte d'Azur, the wilds of Oregon, the Los Angeles of Raymond Chandler, communist Eastern Europe, Rome at the dawn of the 21st century (a chilling tale in which he is forced to imitate the Messiah), and the ruins of post-apocalyptic New Jersey. He encounters Bettie Page, Aleister Crowley, Timothy Leary, Lou Reed, and Francis Ford Coppola (with the entire cast and crew of Apocalypse Now, in a hilarious spoof).
This book covers Dracula from inception to beyond modern day. Some of the stories are incredible and some are horrible. This book took a long time for me to finish.
I'm not a fan of vampires, and I'm disappointed... but it's The Mammoth Book of Dracula, so, I'm not surprised. However, I was hoping to find some creepy stories...
Next time, maybe.
