Gai Perry was introduced to quiltmaking in 1981 and fell head-over-heals in love with this uniquely American craft. She has been a full-time quilter ever since.
In 1985, Gai started teaching quilting at local shops and quilt seminars thourough-out California and Oregon. Because of her foundness for early American antiques, her focus was on the effective use of color and fabric in traditionnal-style quilts.
Few of us will ever be fortunate enough to own a great Impressionist painting or even see one in person, but there is no reason why we can't learn to make our own Impressionist work of art using fabric.
Making one of the Impressionist Landscapes is an artistic adventure, and the sewing is easy - just some simple piecing of different size squares on-point.
