Wedge réalisa qu'il pensait au pilote en l'appelant Corran, pas "lieutenant Horn". La distance qu'il avait volontairement mise entre eux avait disparu. Il s'était pourtant efforcé de la maintenir pour garder son autorité.
Antilles s'était aussi isolé pour sa propre protection. Apres avoir perdu tant d'amis, il répugnait à laisser ses gars devenir trop proches de lui.

L'aile X frémit. Whister s'étrangla d'angoisse.

La navigation hyperespatiale étant difficile, les itinéraires passaient le plus près possible des systèmes habités. En cas de problème, se trouver à portée de communication d'une planète pouvant apporter de l'aide était un avantage majeur.

You're part of a team and have to act like it. If I need you to shoot a trench like that and feed your data back to a Y-win squadron coming through, I'll have you do it. How good you are means nothing if the rest of the people in the squadron get killed. You might be the best pilot in the squadron, but the squadron is only as good as the worst pilot in it.
