Je dois bien avouer que ce n'est pas la meilleure prose qu'il m'ai été donné de lire et même qu'il comporte certaines longueurs. Mais pour une française en pérégrination de longue durée loin de chez elle, quoi de mieux qu'un regard extérieur sur sa propre culture pour prendre un peu de recul ? Car finalement, au delà de l'histoire personnelle de l'auteur, ce livre décrit les français dans toute leur splendeur (ce qui nous prouve que les clichés ont bien souvent un fond de vérité), et plus particulièrement les parisiens.
