Victor Horta (Gante 1861-Brussels, 1947), Belgian architect, was one of the pioneers of the Art Nouveau style. His first major project, the Hotel Tassel in Brussels, revealed some of the features with which he was later to work: exposed iron structures for the fa?ade, an open layout and decorative details.
