Third book of the Emperor series, we assist to the ultimate glory of Julius Caesar, and with it, the emerging bitterness of his first supporter, Marcus Brutus. A brilliant historical fresco, from, in my opinion, one of the two best historical writers (hard for me to betray Bernard Cornwell) of our time.
