In Ezrin, Lou found his most fanatical acolyte. For fourteen and twenty hours a day, Ezrin correlated technology and talent, until he went completely over the edge. After three weeks he had to be put away in a quiet place where the only tracks were those made by birds on the windowsill. "I got home and I started breaking things. It literally drove me crazy. I couldn't control myself," he later told Steve Gaines. "Doing that album", said Lou, "did have its effect on Bobby."
Going through Customs with Lou Reed is a wild experience, always.
