L'auteure, une adolescente atteinte du Syndrome d'Ehlers-Danlos, parle avec humour, mais sans détour, de la vie avec une maladie rare. Peu importe le type de maladie chronique (arthrite, diabète, etc.), les défis quotidiens se ressemblent. Ceux qui vivent ces défis, et ceux qui veulent mieux les comprendre, liront ce livre d'un trait, avec grand intérêt, comme je l'ai fait.

Chronic illness is all about finding that balancing point -- the point between too much physical activity that drains all your energy and exhausts you, and too little that makes you weak and atrophied, and the point between too much medicine that makes you too drowsy to function and too little that makes your day a torture chamber.
