Résumé :
The twentieth century for Palestine and the Palestinians has been a century of denial: denial of statehood, denial of nationhood and denial of history. October 7th is just a detail. It is one of numerous events that have rocked Palestine since the British decided that the best way to keep Jews from emigrating en masse to the UK (supported by the Americans, who were keen on the same regarding the USA) was to give them a place to live in that is far away from their shores Britain controlled an area under international mandate - Palestine. From 1917 to this very day, The UK and especially the US (no significant difference in policy under Republican and Democrat presidents), have ensured that Israel can use whatever means it feels necessary to increase its territory and wipe out the Palestinians, in order to provide more space for Zionists. This of course includes attacks on neighbouring countries. Rashid Khalidi, who, along with much of his family has been intimately involved in the politics of the region, goes into detail on why some of the largest Arab countries in the world, notably Egypt and Saudi Arabia, allow Israel to continue the many decades long massacres of Palestinians. The answer is quite simple - the Americans have bought them off. This is a book that will upset you and possibly put you into a state of depression. The truth is a rare commodity in this ongoing story, and The Hundred Years' War on Palestine is a welcome light in this time of darkness.
