" Mmmm ! Mmmais entrez donc ! s'exclama-t-elle.
Puis-je vous inviter à goûter ? "
Dear Grandma,
Thank you for all of the lovely presents you sent to me. You were very kind.
With lots and lots of love from
Eloise
PS : Do you know how to get icecream out of a carpet ? The polar bears have made a little bit of a mess…
Walter looked worried.
- What’s happened ? he asked.
- It’s the Mouse King ! said the Sugar Plum Fairy, with a terrible tremble.
Walter gulped.
- Oh no ! he said. What’s he up to now ?
There was a dramatic pause, then the Sugar Plum Fairy said in a whisper :
- SHENANIGANS !
Kindness.
That was it, he was sure of it - the key to understanding everything, including Christmas. All the jingle-jangle and the twinkle-sparkle of Christmas he'd never liked, he realized, was just the wrapping paper. It was all on the outside. What was inside was the real Christmas.
Heinz was obviously all alone in the world and Winston knew how that felt. Before he'd met Oliver, he'd also been all alone. Winston knew what it was like to sneak about in the shadows, because that had been his life too. But if his adventures had told him anything, it was that the world was big, yes, but it was also full of kindness. And especially at Christmas, when the air was full of magic.
What a kind and brave mouse you are. For such a tiny creature you have an enormous heart: one wich understands that nobody should ever be left out or forgotten - especially at Christmas.
CHPLAF !
