La quatrième édition de Birds of Southern Africa de Ian Sinclair est un guide très complet illustré de dessins et non de photographie des divers oiseaux qu'il est possible d'observer en Afrique du Sud, en Namibie, au Botswana, au Zimbabwe et au Mozambique. La grande variété de paysages : bord de mer, désert, savane, montagne, forêt, ... contribue à la biodiversité.
Quand on pense safari, on pense immédiatement aux éléphants ou aux lions, mais observer et photographier les oiseaux peut s'avérer au moins aussi passionnant et très varié. L'avantage, c'est qu'on peut même le faire depuis son jardin ou dans un parc en ville.
