I'm not a big fan of reading, but I loved this book from beginning to end because I find that it deals with the different subjects that a teenager meets during his life. We meet the difficulties that there can be in the relationship with our parents, the love relationships, the traumas that we can undergo during our adolescence. I recognized myself in most of the young people, I liked to know the lifestyles of the characters, to be able to compare myself to them but especially to follow their adventures.
There is some suspense until the end which I loved! I was a little disappointed with the ending: the two main characters do not end up together, since they both take different paths but I tell myself that this is a reflection of life. It allows the book to be really realistic and not fictional, that is to say that does not really reflect the life in which we are but rather a dream. I myself thought at the beginning of the book when Margo disappeared that Quentin would find her and that they would end up together. I was surprised when I read the end and that's something I love, because in the end my prediction was wrong!
Then, thanks to this book I was able to discover the existence of paper towns that I didn't know existed and that I find impressive, because in reality Agloe was at first an imaginary town in the state of New York in the Catskill Mountains, before its name was adopted as a real toponym.
If I had to pick my favorite character, I guess it would be Margo, because I think she is very clever in her planning. Besides, she is also a character that I find very endearing, because she has a difficult relationship with her parents who rejected her, the cheating of her boyfriend. I think Margo needed someone to care about her because her parents didn't and that's why she has this character a little bit "follow me and I'll run away you, run away from me and I'll follow you" and that she doesn't trust herself. I identify a lot with this character.
Finally, to finish this review, I think it's a shame that there is no sequel to this book, in which we could have discovered the future of the characters and the fate of Quentin and Margo. I think you have to make your own sequel to not be disappointed.
