Murder on the Orient Express

Je me suis enfin décidée a reprendre un abonnement a la bibliothèque de Cork, hier et j'en ai profité pour emprunter cette adaptation en BD du célèbre roman d'Agatha Christie.
Et je me suis régalée car c'est très réussi. Les dessins sont très travaillés et donne vraiment un beau rendu.

L'oeuvre est très fidèle au roman que j'avais lu il y a très longtemps alors j'ai pris plaisir a redécouvrir.

Le seul point négatif a souligner, il en faut bien un, c'est la traduction de l'oeuvre. A la base, cette BD est française et j'ai lu celle-ci en anglais. Mais le traducteur a semble-t-il voulu garder des mots ou expressions françaises au fil des bulles. On retrouve régulièrement des "mon ami" ou encore :
"Then, Mesdames et Messieurs, I retire from the case. Time to have another glass of your delicious vin rouge, Monsieur Bouc... "J'aime peu le mélange des deux langues. La langue française comme anglaise sont des langues très riches, avec énormément de vocabulaire, je trouve donc dommage de ne pas les utiliser a fond et faire une oeuvre qui est que en langue anglaise.
Bien sur, c'est juste un petit détail qui n'élève rien a la qualité de cette très bonne BD. C'est l'occasion de découvrir l'oeuvre de la grande dame du crime autrement alors foncez !

I liked this book because Agatha Christie was inspired by an anecdote occured some years before. In addition, I loved that book particulary because during all the story, we are into the action, immersed in the skin of a character and in the skin of a witness of the murder.

I read Murder in the Orient Express this summer. I tried to read it again in comics. It was cool but really shorter than the entire book of course. That's why I didn't get into the story , I didn't identify to a character or make a difference between them. The characteristics of each character are barely sketched out! Maybe one more volume wouldn't have been too much to be complete.
However the story was very faithful and I truly appreciate it!
